Hasan Kocasoy

Hasan Kocasoy holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Public Administration from Middle East Technical University and a master’s degree in European Union and International Economic Relations from Ankara University’s European Communities Research and Application Center. Between 2006 and 2021, he served successively at the Public Administration Institute for Turkey and the Middle East, the Ministry of Trade’s Directorate General of Free Zones, and its Directorate General of European Union and International Agreements. From 2015 to 2021, he served as a commercial counsellor at the Turkish embassies in Baghdad and Ottawa. He currently provides consultancy services on construction contracting, logistics, and foreign trade diplomacy across the Middle East and North Africa, with a particular focus on Iraq. His research focuses on foreign trade logistics, free zones, and the Development Road Project.
